On beam, UNC’s Morgan Lane completed a gorgeous routine with a unique mount to acro series that had even the Florida fans clapping in approval. The effort was worth a 9.95 for the event win. And in the last event, the scores were really flying with Sloan earning her 10 for the night in the fourth spot in the lineup. Baker and Caquatto followed with 9.95s.
the season. The night started slow on vault, with only one score over 9.85 for the Utes. walked away with the win in its final meet of the regular season with its highest total score in program history. It was a night full of records and highs, putting the Bears in a great position heading into the conference championships. The massive total also allowed the team to jump Stanford in the rankings, becoming most likely the No. 3-seed at Pac-12s next weekend — an unprecedented feat. For the Huskers, Megan Schweihofer and Danielle Breen scored 9.925s on beam while Haillie Blanske (9.925), Breen (9.9) and Jennie Laeng (9.925) all came through on floor to seal the win. Michigan State had a great performance to send it to the night session of the championships. The Spartans were backed by Lisa Burt’s 39.375 in the all around, Kira Frederick’s 9.925 on floor and Hailee Westney’s 9.9 on beam. Ohio State also had a score of 9.9 with Stefanie Merkle posting one on floor.
