It's almost a given at this point that the majority of teams will hold a pink meet supporting breast cancer. While some teams succeed in their mission of bringing their leotard into this venture, others... Not so much.
The criteria is the same as normal meets except school spirit is replaced by pink meet spirit. And to refresh your memory on the other criteria: up to three points for design; two points for fabric, sparkle, etc.; and two points for spirit; three points for overall appearance. After assigning points to each category, we’ll tally up the scores and average them with the previous week’s. So by the end of the season, we’ll know for sure which team has the best leotards (according to us) and which teams not so much. We want to know what you thought too (or if we forgot one of your favorites from this weekend)! Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter. And make sure to vote in our poll at the bottom of the page to make your opinion heard in the fan vote, new this season. By Christina Marmet Every year, this regional promises a showdown between the second and third seeds. However, this season is likely to be even more exciting but also heartbreaking. While Oklahoma is the favorite to advance, the race for the second spot is going to make gym nerds cry. Kentucky has had a fairytale season, shattering expectations and looking like a strong contender to make it to the NCAAs for the first time ever as a team. However, it won’t be an easy path for the Wildcats as host team Washington is right on their heels and may just as well make it to nationals for the first time since 1998. Add to that Stanford as the fifth seed and that can definitely spoil the party. We are in for a tense evening in Seattle.
