By Elizabeth Grimsley, Christina Marmet and Caroline Medley It’s time for another round of NCAA Gym News Power Rankings. This week we’ll be coming up with our top 12 teams and assigning them each an elite gymnast we think best fits its season up to this point. But we don’t expect you to agree with our opinions 100 percent. Let us know your thoughts and who you have in your top 10 in the comments or on social media. If you’re a traditionalist or numbers freak, you can look at the Road to Nationals official rankings here. Tier 1: Oklahoma - Simone BilesThis one’s pretty obvious but we’ll explain it for you anyway. Simone is the queen of gymnastics. She’s dominate and basically the best gymnast to walk the planet. While Oklahoma still has a ways to go before being the best NCAA team ever, it is the queen right now. The Sooners are dominant, not only beating every team they come across but also hitting over 198 more times this season than all other teams combined. But like some people didn’t consider Simone really having made it until the Olympics, Oklahoma still has to prove itself at nationals when all the other teams are on the same playing field.

By Christina Marmet Every year, this regional promises a showdown between the second and third seeds. However, this season is likely to be even more exciting but also heartbreaking. While Oklahoma is the favorite to advance, the race for the second spot is going to make gym nerds cry. Kentucky has had a fairytale season, shattering expectations and looking like a strong contender to make it to the NCAAs for the first time ever as a team. However, it won’t be an easy path for the Wildcats as host team Washington is right on their heels and may just as well make it to nationals for the first time since 1998. Add to that Stanford as the fifth seed and that can definitely spoil the party. We are in for a tense evening in Seattle.
Don’t forget to enter your postseason predictions in the 2017 NCAA Gym Bracket Challenge! The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 31 at 7 p.m. ET.

With a fair few teams debuting new leotards for their senior night celebrations and rivalry meets, we have a lot of new beautiful creations to judge this week from LSU’s stunning number to MSU’s high-neck elegant piece. The criteria is the same as always: up to three points for design; two points for fabric, sparkle, etc.; and two points for school spirit; three points for overall appearance. After assigning points to each category, we’ll tally up the scores and average them with the previous week’s. So by the end of the season, we’ll know for sure which team has the best leotards (according to us) and which teams not so much. We want to know what you thought too (or if we forgot one of your favorites from this weekend)! Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter. And make sure to vote in our poll at the bottom of the page to make your opinion heard in the fan vote, new this season.

With lots of beautiful, throwback-tastic and not-so-cute leotards this week, we have a lot to judge. So sit back and enjoy everything from Arizona’s lace faux sports bra number to TWU’s amazing tribute to 1992. We’d also like to make a note that Ohio State’s five buckeye leaves on the sleeve of last week’s leotard represented the team’s five Big 10 championship titles! Pretty cool, we’d say.
