For our final installment we’ll be breaking down the top 10 floor routines. Heralded by many as the event where gymnasts get to “showcase their personality,” the floor exercise is often the highlight of a meet. The crowd gets involved in its favorite gymnast’s routines and clapping or cheering along to the music. Which routines are likely to be among the favorites next year?

It’s finally that time of the year! We know where each of the top 36 teams in the country will travel to compete for a chance at advancing to nationals. In the days leading up to the championships, we’ll be previewing and analyzing each of the six regionals, discussing which teams have a chance of moving on and which individual could qualify as well. First up is the Morgantown regional, featuring No. 6 Alabama, No. 7 Michigan, No. 18 Southern Utah, No. 20 George Washington, No. 23 West Virginia and No. 31 Kent State.
Don’t forget to enter your postseason predictions in the 2017 NCAA Gym Bracket Challenge! The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 31 at 7 p.m. ET.

There were a LOT of great leotards this week with few misses, so the fight for the top for week three will be fierce. Will it be TWU’s burgundy ombre number, EMU’s new shiny black/white/green gradient, UNC’s #BeTrue leo or another team completely?
The criteria is the same as last season. But to refresh your memories: up to three points for design; two points for fabric, sparkle, etc.; and two points for school spirit; three points for overall appearance. After assigning points to each category, we’ll tally up the scores and average them with the previous week’s. So by the end of the season, we’ll know for sure which team has the best leotards (according to us) and which teams not so much. We want to know what you thought too (or if we forgot one of your favorites from this weekend)! Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter. And make sure to vote in our poll at the bottom of the page to make your opinion heard in the fan vote, new this season.

After a brief delay for the holiday season, we’re back with our Potential Lineups series! After a heated three-day Twitter battle, Kent State finally won, closely fought by Utah State. These are the final two teams we’ll be featuring in our series this preseason. So today we are covering the Kent State Golden Flashes, who finished 30th in the regular season in 2016. However, they’ve also been voted the number one seed in their conference coming into the 2017 season. As it gains some solid new freshmen and retains most of its heavy hitters, KSU should be in a great position to prove the MAC coaches’ poll right.
