Sacramento State Hornets
The Hornets are coming off a successful 2016 season after winning their fifth MPSF title (2002, 2003, 2005, 2014, 2016) with the second best score in program history and qualifying four individuals to the NCAA Regional Championship (Cassie Benning, Julia Konner, Kalliah McCartney and Lauren Rice). The team has a total of nine conference titles between MPSF, WAC and the Western Independent Conference. Since 1994, the Hornets have advanced over 45 gymnasts to regionals, and the last individual to qualify to the NCAA Championships was Kalliah McCartney in 2014 in the all-around. Successful former gymnasts include NCAA D-II 1984 beam champion Terri Meyer, three-time USAG vault champion Rebecca Seebirt and 1995 USAG all-around champion Natalie Cadondon.
