Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Huskers have made 11 NCAA Super Six appearances (last in 2014) and have qualified to the NCAA championships 24 times in program history. Their best finish was in 2011 where they placed fourth. Nebraska joined the Big Ten Conference in 2012 after leaving the Big 12, where they had previously won nine conference titles. Since then, the Huskers have won the Big Ten title in 2012 and 2013 and were regular season champions in 2014. In addition, Nebraska has produced three gymnasts who went on to win five individual NCAA championships: Michelle Bryant (1990, VT), Heather Brink (2000, AA and VT) and Richelle Simpson (2003, AA and FX). The Huskers finished the 2016 season with an eighth-place finish at the NCAA championships and a second place finish at Big 10 Championship behind Michigan. With 10 returners and only losing two seniors, the team will look to build off the 2016 season. Other well-known Huskers include fan-favorites Emily Wong and Jessie DeZiel.
