Maryland Terrapins
The Terrapins are one of the most recent teams to enter the Big Ten Conference, joining in 2015 after leaving the EAGL conference. They have appeared at the NCAA Regionals 20 times, last being in 2015. During the 2016 season, Maryland finished eighth at the Big Ten Championships and barely missed qualifying to regionals by a few spots. The Terrapins were however able to send three individuals there in Abbie Epperson, Macey Roberts and Kathy Tang .
The incoming freshman class for the 2017 season is full of talent and will hopefully help bring the program back to regionals and maybe grab individual berths to nationals. This class is headlined by Canadian elite Kirsten Peterman who participated in the Olympic Trials and Alecia Farina who qualified to the 2016 Junior Olympic National Championships. Some successful former alumni include Rachel Martinez, Katy Dodds, Gillian Cote, Karen Tang and Jill Fisher.
