By Christina Marmet At first glance, this regional looks like it could be a walk in the park for the top two seeds Utah and Denver. However, Cal and Auburn are silent threats that will jump on the opportunity to advance if the first two falter or have an average meet. All six teams are ranked in the top 28, which makes this regional likely one of the toughest ones out there this season. Additionally, host team Arkansas is the No. 5 seed and it will be more than comfortable competing at home so it could definitely surprise as well. Remember when Arkansas beat Alabama? If the Razorbacks bring their A-game, we are likely in for a tense and exciting evening in Fayetteville.

The leotards did not disappoint this week as teams have started rolling out their new leos for senior night and postseason competition. Some chose to wear old leotards that brought them success while others, maybe those not squarely in the postseason picture, chose to debut newly designed numbers.
The criteria is the same as always. But to refresh your memory: up to three points for design; two points for fabric, sparkle, etc.; and two points for school spirit; three points for overall appearance. After assigning points to each category, we’ll tally up the scores and average them with the previous week’s. So by the end of the season, we’ll know for sure which team has the best leotards (according to us) and which teams not so much. We want to know what you thought too (or if we forgot one of your favorites from this weekend)! Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter. And make sure to vote in our poll at the bottom of the page to make your opinion heard in the fan vote, new this season. By Elizabeth Grimsley After a hard fought competition, Kai Rivers (future LSU gymnast) and Carly Bauman (future Michigan gymnast) claimed senior and junior titles, respectively, at the 2017 Nastia Liukin Cup. Overall, Michigan recruits had a strong showing with two finishers in the top five on the senior side to go along with Bauman's junior win.

With the 2017 Nastia Liukin Cup two days away, it’s time to take a closer look at the qualifiers and where they stand going into Friday’s competition. After seven weeks, we finally have all 36 qualifiers—18 juniors and 18 seniors—that will represent their club gyms, as well as, for some, their future colleges in New Jersey.

With lots of beautiful, throwback-tastic and not-so-cute leotards this week, we have a lot to judge. So sit back and enjoy everything from Arizona’s lace faux sports bra number to TWU’s amazing tribute to 1992. We’d also like to make a note that Ohio State’s five buckeye leaves on the sleeve of last week’s leotard represented the team’s five Big 10 championship titles! Pretty cool, we’d say.
