By Elizabeth Grimsley, Christina Marmet and Caroline Medley Continuing with the throwback leotard theme, this week we’re taking a look back at the fashion at the 2012 national championship event finals. While the designs were similar to what we see today, there were a LOT fewer sparkles. Thanks to Allie for suggesting the meet!
The criteria is the same as during the season. But to refresh your memory: up to three points for design; two points for fabric, sparkle, etc.; and two points for school spirit; three points for overall appearance. But we want to know your thoughts too! Make sure to vote in our poll at the bottom of the page.

By Elizabeth Grimsley Not only is it postseason in J.O. gymnastics with the level 10 national championships right around the corner but the regular signing period begun about two weeks ago as well. Which gymnasts are heading to your favorite school?

It's almost a given at this point that the majority of teams will hold a pink meet supporting breast cancer. While some teams succeed in their mission of bringing their leotard into this venture, others... Not so much.
The criteria is the same as normal meets except school spirit is replaced by pink meet spirit. And to refresh your memory on the other criteria: up to three points for design; two points for fabric, sparkle, etc.; and two points for spirit; three points for overall appearance. After assigning points to each category, we’ll tally up the scores and average them with the previous week’s. So by the end of the season, we’ll know for sure which team has the best leotards (according to us) and which teams not so much. We want to know what you thought too (or if we forgot one of your favorites from this weekend)! Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter. And make sure to vote in our poll at the bottom of the page to make your opinion heard in the fan vote, new this season. By Elizabeth Grimsley Each regional competition is exciting for different reasons. Some have no clear-cut advancing teams, others are more interesting for their individual prospects. The Lincoln regional, however, should be a little bit of both. While LSU should sail through barring absolute disaster, the second spot is wide open with a couple evenly matched teams with a good chance and a couple evenly matched teams with an outside chance—but all with viable individual qualifiers.
Don’t forget to enter your postseason predictions in the 2017 NCAA Gym Bracket Challenge! The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 31 at 7 p.m. ET. By Elizabeth Grimsley After a hard fought competition, Kai Rivers (future LSU gymnast) and Carly Bauman (future Michigan gymnast) claimed senior and junior titles, respectively, at the 2017 Nastia Liukin Cup. Overall, Michigan recruits had a strong showing with two finishers in the top five on the senior side to go along with Bauman's junior win.
