Illinois head coach Kim Landrus received a contract extension through 2018 it was announced Thursday. Landrus is entering her sixth season as head coach in 2016 and 14th total season with the Illinois program. She led the team to three NCAA championship appearances including its best finish in program history each time by finishing 11th. Before Landrus took over, the program had only qualified to the national championships once.

Four NCAA gymnasts are on the a nominative list for the 2015 World Championships that was released by the FIG this morning. After deferring a year from college to train for worlds and the 2016 Olympics, Oklahoma's Brenna Dowell is listed as one of the seven on the U.S training squad. As a freshman last year, Dowell was the runner-up on floor at the NCAA championship and became a first-team All-American on bars and floor. Georgia's Brittany Rogers was named to the nominative list for Canada. Rogers has relocated to Calgary for the fall to train elite. She will return to Athens in December to compete her senior season. In 2012, Rogers represented Canada at the London Olympics. The official Canadian world team is set to be announced Friday. UCLA senior Danusia Francis and California sophomore Tori Ann Williams are both on the list for Jamaica. Francis competed in the 2011 World Championships and was an alternate for Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics but has since changed nationalities. Williams earned first-team All-American honors on vault and floor last year as a freshman. Also on the U.S.'s nominative list are Utah signee Mykayla Skinner and UCLA signee Madison Kocian who are both deferring a year to train for the Olympics.
In its fourth year of gymnastics coverage, the Pac-12 Network announced an expanded lineup for 2016, which will include 27 competitions with at least four for each team.
The coverage is expanding six competitions from 21 this season and will feature five out-of-conference match ups, including Alabama at UCLA and Auburn at Oregon State on Jan. 10, Georgia at UCLA on March 6, Georgia at Utah on March 12 and Oklahoma at UCLA on March 13. The majority of the competitions, however, will feature match ups between Pac-12 teams, including rivalries between Utah and UCLA in Los Angeles and between Arizona and Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz. The conference championships on March 19 will also be broadcasted live as in 2016. Session one will begin at 4 p.m. ET followed by session two at 9:30 p.m. ET. Both sessions will be hosted by Washington in Seattle. In 2015, the meet saw one gymnast perform at a time — a format which is expected to be carried over to 2016 as well.
