Lindenwood Lions
The Lindenwood team was inaugurated in 2013, and it has already had tremendous accomplishments in such a short amount of time. In only four years and as an NCAA Division II team, the Lions have become two-time USAG Women’s Collegiate National Champions (2015, 2016) and have two individual national champions as well: Rachel Zabawa in 2013 on beam, and Kierstin Sokolowski in 2015 in the all-around and on vault. Similarly, the team has already won two MIC titles (2015, 2016). In 2015, three individuals qualified to the NCAA Regional Championship (Courtney Heise, Valeri Ingui and Kierstin Sokolowski). The Lions will look to repeat as conference and national champions in 2017 with a strong returning roster.
